Sam Schneider has dedicated over 16 years to Earthlight Technologies, advancing from Co-Founder alongside his parents, Tim and Dana Schneider, to his current position as Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, Earthlight Technologies is making significant strides in implementing cutting-edge technologies that promote clean energy and environmental sustainability.

Meet the Schneider Family:

Sam is not just a dedicated industry leader; he is also a family man. He lives in Ellington, CT with his wife, Leah, and their two children, Jack (5) and Hazel (3), with a third little one on the way!

Sam is excited about the second-generation business as he works alongside his four brothers—Jake, Chris, Jonathan, and Nathan. Earthlight Technologies is fortunate to have a family legacy that enriches its culture, fostering collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to growth and sustainability.

Earthlight Technologies:

Earthlight Technologies is renowned for its innovative approaches to renewable energy, including specializing in solutions for residential solar and battery storage, commercial solar and storage, commercial EV chargers and commercial energy efficiency solutions.

In June of 2022, ELT opened their new headquarters, a building they designed and built from the ground up that fully encompasses their mission for a greener multi-generational future.

Having a net zero building means Earthlight has achieved a balance of carbon neutrality; put simply, net zero refers to the balance between the amount of greenhouse gas produced and the amount removed from the atmosphere. We reach net zero when the amount we add is no more than the amount taken away.

This is achieved by utilizing solar power, battery backup and storage, geothermal heating and cooling, energy efficiency lighting, etc. The building itself has been a gamechanger for their business in more ways than they could have imagined.

Earthlight loves to practice what they preach; using their headquarters as an example of what can be possible for a more sustainable future and educating the public on how it can be done as they offer tours of the net zero building almost weekly.

Today, Earthlight is a rapidly expanding company with over 145 employees nationwide, servicing over 5,000 residential and commercial customers in 3 core markets.

2025 Goals for Earthlight:

Sam is excited for Earthlight to fully expand into Massachusetts in 2025, building on their existing reputation and presence to capture a significant share of the market while promoting sustainable energy solutions through local partnerships and dedicated efforts.

Memorable YPO Experience:

Sam has valued his membership in YPO, with a particularly memorable experience being his involvement in the selection process for a forum group. He appreciated the opportunity to learn about the benefits and dynamics of these different groups, deepening his understanding of their potential impact. Now as he settles into his new forum group “Odyssey” he is fully appreciative of the early on benefits that forum has already presented in less than 1 year. Totally worth the time and effort!
